At Edwards Air Force Base in California, MEC, Inc. was contracted to demolish a 240-unit military housing project. The work involved asbestos abatement and demolition of all homes, slabs, driveways, sidewalks, and streets. The entire neighborhood was removed, including all utilities, light posts, and street signs. When all demolition work was complete, the area was finally graded for reuse by the customer. The project was completed on schedule with no change orders and to the complete satisfaction of the customer.
